Event Support

1. Requesting Tech Events via your Calendar

1.1. Event Process

When requesting support for an event, please submit your requests 72 hours in advance so we can guarantee tech support. While we do our best to accommodate all requests, we’re unable to guarantee support for requests submitted less than 24 hours in advance. If you need immediate support for an event, you may still submit a request and our team will evaluate the request on a case-by-case basis.


Some of the services available for these events include: audio/video/visuals check, laptop connections and providing loaner laptop(s) for the event.


If you require additional support such as sound, microphones, furniture or help to book a space, please contact Facilities. If you are on campus, please contact dial 1234 extension 2 for Facilities.

1.2. Request Tech Event Setups Through Calendar Invite

On the top right corner of the gmail screen, click on the Google apps symbol (the dot square) and select the Google Calendar icon.

Once Calendar is open, select a date on the calendar or click the create button to create the event.

Add the following information: Name of Event, Date, Time, and Location.

Please be sure to add Tech Events Calendar to the Guests!

Click on "Save" and then "Send" when the prompt to send invitation emails in order to invite us. You will then get a HelpSpot Request with a Ticket number that has been generated automatically.

If you have any updates to the request, please respond to the ticket. You do not need to make a new request for each update.
