2.2. Smartboard touch or pens not working - Mac

There have been many documented issues with Smartboards becoming unresponsive when connected to a Mac. There is sadly no solution to permanently resolve this problem. To restore operation when this occurs, please try the following steps:

1. Open Activity Monitor.

2. Quit the Smartboard service.

3. Open Connection Wizard and attempt to reconnect; this will restart required services.

4. Try to use touch or pens again.

5. If this does not work, try a reboot - be sure to UNCHECK the box inquiring if you wish to re-open windows at next login.

6. If a reboot does not work, shut down completely and restart.

7. If this too fails, please contact the help desk at x1234.
